Don't tell your classmates what's up, though. If you do, no bonus points. Those jokers should be checking the website themselves!
For five extra test points, discreetly tell me the name of this extremely handsome and suave gentleman.

Good morning good morning good morning! I hope you had a great weekend! Sooooooooo, I have jury duty today. Exciting, I know. Try not to get too excited about it. In the spirit of civic duty and patriotism and all of that awesomeness, I am giving you your assignment. Read The Declaration of Independence in the American Lit. Textbook (that big fat red one). Then, when you've finished, I want you to complete the assignment below. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow. Have a wonderful day, and be kind to your substitute. We will worry about your summer work when I return.
Hello, my darlings! Just a quick reminder that your summer assignments are due on Monday, August 24. Remember, too, that you are not required to finish the Black Swan assignment, but you do need to do the assignments for The Glass Castle and the rhetorical strategies and fallacies blog. The assignment is below if you need it. Hello, darlings! Today in class we learned to use the PASTA mnemonic device to analyze essays and passages. We also read "The C Word in the Hallways" by Anna Quindlen and discussed her use of rhetorical strategies within the essay. You do not have homework for this weekend, but do keep in mind that your summer reading assignments are due on August 21. I have put the files that we used in class below in case you need them later. Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend!
Welcome to AP Language and Composition!
Here's your first bit of good news: your summer reading projects aren't officially due until August 21. You better make them good! I'm so excited that you're in my class this year. You're going to work super hard, hate me at times, and come out of here better readers, writers, and thinkers. It's going to be awesome. |
